ARESTIN®, is a powerful and effective antibiotic that our office recommends using in combination with scaling and root planing. Arestin comes in a powder form, and this powder is gently placed inside the infected gum pockets just after our hygienist finishes the scaling and root planing (SRP) therapy. Arestin does an amazing job of killing any of the aggressive bacteria that our instruments may have missed while performing the scaling and root planing therapy.
